Ben Martin, 40, opened a hairdresser’s salon in a layby alongside the A6 near Luton, he had a “eureka moment” and opened a new shop in a trailer. He says:
“I’m fully qualified, insured and have been a Barber for several years, but this location has to be the best ever. I checked with the highways authority and the local council who granted me a licence to operate from my location on the A6 just north of Luton. I drive my trailer there, there’s Plenty of Parking, and I open 4 days per week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 09:30am to 5:30pm. On Wednesday I focus on getting my handicap down!
It’s got to be the ultimate Business Park location! without the overheads.
The response has been tremendous, the media picked up on this novel approach and I’ve been mentioned by Chris Evans on his BBC Radio 2 morning programme. I’ve even been mentioned in the Australian Press”
